Fair Trade Stall

In Eco-Schools we have run a number of Fair trade stalls. They usually contain chocolate and this proves very popular with the pupils and staff alike. For charity day we ran a fair-trade chocolate stall and we managed to raise over £100 for Help for Heroes, Sight Savers and Macmillan Cancer Support.

As well as this we did a fair trade stall at the H.S.A Christmas Fair in the school hall. Mr Stokes went and chose a load of gifts from the fair trade shop. They were lovely but he made the mistake of taking it home to show his wife and they ended up buying a lot of it. On the day we displayed everything out on a table.

There was something for everyone! Chocolate, Games, Tape measures, Christmas tree decorations, little ornaments and shelf sitters including a little cockerel which I ended up buying as I love our school chickens. Miss Deasy won a really cool prize in the tombola so Mrs Cook had a go, however the turn out wasn’t quite what she expected. Mrs Cook won a lovely book called “The Old Pig”. Overall at the Christmas fair we made £130 from the fair trade products and our bags for life. This gave us a total £37 profit to put into our future projects which wasn’t bad at all.
