Green points competition

Green Points Competition
The winning tutor group this year for the Green Points competition are 8BE with 144 points.
Green points can be earned by bringing in items for recycling, contributing to Eco Schools activities such as collecting the compost, attending grounds working parties and helping with the chickens. The points earned by the winning tutor groups in the other year groups are shown below :

Sent to a company for re-use |

Batteries |
Collected by company called e.r.p. |
To reduce damaging batteries going into landfill |
Paper |
Used in school or collected from School for recycling. |
Scrap paper is made into notebooks to be re-used and other paper is recycled into new paper |
Plastic Bottles |
Sorted and collected from school. |
Plastic bottles are recycled into all sorts of useful items such as the recycled benches we have in school. |
Vegetable food waste and chicken waste |
Traditional Garden Compost bins |
Used as compost on the Traditional Garden. |
